Eva NYC Freshen Up Dry Shampoo
My hair is halfway down my back. I’m not a fan of washing it every day, it’s actually not even recommended. So when I received a free sample of EVA NYC Freshen Up Dry Shampoo from PinchMe, I was more excited than I may have ever been about a sample product.
What is Dry Shampoo?
Dry shampoo is a type of shampoo which reduces hair greasiness without the need for water. It is in powder form and is typically administered from an aerosol can. Dry shampoo is often based on corn starch or rice starch. In addition to cleansing hair, it can also be used as a tool for hair-styling as it can create volume, help tease hair, keep bobby pins in place, and be used in place of mousse in wet hair.
Wikipedia
Basically, you want to use this product between washes to help keep your hair low on grease and looking great. I would say I wash my hair 2-3 times per week.
I usually don’t need dry shampoo until day three. Usually I’ll throw on a hat. All in all I don’t use many products on my hair at all. Occasionally I’ll curl my hair and need a bit of hairspray, or for some volume, same with gel if my hair is shorter and I want to wear it wavy, but for how long my hair is and the texture of it, wavy doesn’t happen anymore very often or very easily; so dry shampoo would be the main hair product I use.

How did it feel? Smell?
I thought each time I used the sample size can I received (which lasted me over 2 two months) that it worked well, and that my hair looked great all day. I noticed the day after using it that I wasn’t itching at my scalp prior to washing with traditional shampoo/conditioner. That is usually an issue with other brands for me. My head is so itchy and I find I have to wash it twice or use a hair mask in the shower to get it out.
This was not the case with the Eva NYC, this goes back to my earlier mention of it not feeling as heavy as other brands.

“A weightless spray that cleans without water, absorbs excess oil, and adds instant volume.”
“Hair is left clean, voluminous, and refreshed.”
Photo and Quotes from the Eva NYC website.
I do feel that the two above quotes were pretty spot on. Exactly as claimed.
This video I came across on provided a review of the product and tips on using dry shampoo which are super helpful.
Cons?
Honestly, none that I’ve noticed. I’m not one to put aside a negative opinion either. I really enjoyed this product and I’m so glad that I was able to try it thanks to PinchMe.

This is one of the best dry shampoo products I’ve ever tried. Since originally posting this review, I have placed two orders for this product and have replaced my usual brand of dry shampoo.
